Caitlin Garry
Originally from Jackson, NJ, Caitlin Garry has over 25 years of dance experience, specializing in tap dance. At the age of fifteen, she began teaching tap alongside her lifelong mentor, Mary Nosuchinsky, and became a founding member of Nosuchinsky’s company Mary No & Co. In 2012, Caitlin joined Nick Dinicolangelo’s Hands Down Tap Project, and now serves as the company’s rehearsal director. Performances with the Hands Down Tap Project include nine full length shows, as well as “One” and “(in)FINITE” both featuring Caroline Lewis-Jones’s Unbound. In collaboration with Best Buddies, Caitlin joined Christopher Erk and the Tap Factor for performances at Carnegie Hall and Harvard University. She has also performed throughout New York City and Connecticut as a founding member of Kelly Kaleta’s Counterpoint. Most recently, Caitlin joined Jason Janas’s Co.MMIT, and can be found sharing her love of tap dance across the United States with Radix Dance Convention as Janas’s assistant. While educating young dancers in studios across the east coast, Caitlin continues to grow her craft by training with renowned tap dancers such as Jason Janas, Charles Renato, Lisa Latouche, and Anthony Morigerato. She was also blessed with the opportunity to study the famous works of Leon Collins with Dianne Walker. In addition to living a life full of tap dancing, Caitlin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, a minor in Social Science, and a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
