Jennifer Grier

Ms. Jenni has been dancing at Backstage since she was 7. Through her years at Backstage, she studied many styles such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop, taking a special interest in Tap and Jazz. Jenni was also a member of the Backstage Show Troupe competition team from Middle School through High School. She began assistant teaching for Backstage while in middle school, and later taught her own classes throughout college, Rock-n-Tots through adults. She attended Towson University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, then later obtained her Master's Degree from Loyola University in Educational Technology. She has attended Pulse, Nuvo and Artists Simply Human dance conventions and the Dance Teacher Summit in New York City. Jenni became a Show Troupe teacher in 2011 and has loved every minute. In 2015 she started her custom costume company, Custom Jemz. You can see her costumes on dancers from Kentucky, Illinois, North Carolina and right here at Backstage Dance Studio. Her goal no matter what class she teaches is to cultivate the love of dance and helping see their full potential.
